This project activity will employ parabolic trough concentrated solar thermal technology to be constructed on a portion of the farm Bokpoort 390 in Groblershoop in the Northern Cape Province, South Africa. The installed technology uses very precise parabolic shaped, sun tracking mirrors to concentrate and collect sunlight on thermally efficient receiver tubes running through the optical focal line of the parabolic mirror troughs.
