The Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) 2010-30 was promulgated in March 2011. It was indicated at the time that the IRP should be a “living plan”.

The Department of Energy has now developed an updated IRP. The Minister of Energy, Mr Jeff Radebe has under section 4 (1) of the Electricity Regulations on New Generation Capacity published the draft Integrated Resource Plan 2018 for public comments in the government gazette.

Interested persons and organisations are invited to submit within 60 days of this publication, written comments on the draft Integrated Resource Plan 2018 to the Director-General of the Department of Energy:
