About C3ESA
What is C3E-SA
C3E (Clean Energy Education & Empowerment) is a South African initiative designed to empower young girls and women in the field of Clean Energy. It aims to recruit young girls and women to take up subjects and pursue careers in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM).
It is an all-inclusive package of girl and women empowerment which includes career guidance, mentoring & coaching, bursaries, internships, an exchange programme locally & internationally, leadership grooming, training, & support for women in business in Energy.
This initiative is run in partnership with other Government Department and companies in the Energy Industry.
Mandate for C3E-SA
To advance girls’ and women’s participation in the field of clean energy through connectivity, leadership, empowerment, advocacy and research in line with the national and international strategies on women empowerment.
Vision for C3E-SA
A South Africa in which girls and women actively participate and benefit from driving the clean energy revolution.

To attract and inspire women
• to pursue careers and support their advancement into leadership positions in clean energy
• to create entrepreneurship opportunities in the field of clean energy
• to encourage lifestyles that support clean energy
• and raise awareness on clean energy as a preferred source of energy
