The owner of biogas project is required to register with the National Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) according to section 28 and schedule 1 item 2 of the Gas Act 2001, (Act No. 48 of 2001). In terms of Piped-gas Regulations, regulation 9(1) and (2) provides for the information to be furnished to the Regulator and gives the time frames for furnishing such information.
